This yoga block, also known as yoga brick, is a prop for yoga poses.
It helps to strengthen, stretch and balance your body. In some poses, it increases the reach of your arms and in others, it provides extra support to prevent injury.
It differs per yoga style whether and how yoga blocks are used. In one style they are indispensable, e.g. in Iyengar Yoga or Restorative Yoga. In other styles, they are only used in the 'beginners phase', think for example of Vinyasa Flow or Poweryoga.
